Default is it really ?

Ok guys....

I think my Crankshaft Postion Sensor is done...

long cranking starts... 4 codes

2008 535xi 11/07 build date

P0335 Crankshaft Postion Sensor A Circuit (Generic Stored)
P1727 CAN Engine Speed (BMW Stored)
P0335 Crankshaft Postion Sensor A Circuit (Generic Pending)
P1727 CAN Engine Speed (BMW Pending)

I got reduced power and a "malfunction in drive" it also gave me a transmission fault in the idrive screen and seems to be stuck in second gear.... long drive home at 45 mph ERGHHHH

I already have my new sensor on order I can pick it up from my mechanic tomorrow morning I think I am on the right track....

Can anyone shed any light on this subject for me ???

tips and tricks for replacing sensor?

I am leaving work now to go home and start to tear down the car... any write ups ?

thanks guys !

Larry S.
