Oil Filter Housing Gasket Leaking (E60)

My Ride: 2008 535i LCI with sports/premium package, Sports trans with paddle shifters, CF emblems, JB4 Software, Dinan Exhaust, Navigation, M5Tech body kit, Carbon wrap interrior trim and CIC Controller.

It could have been the sealing ring around the cap that was causing it. I had that problem but eventually had a bad seal as well on my 535. Changing it on this car is very quick and easy. There was no oil loss other than residual stuff, so very little.

Here's the link to the DIY instructions. It really isn't a hard job on the N52 engine. I waited for an oil change, and I changed out the coolant at the same time.
