Hello all!I hear a small "tuck" when slowing down and when the speed crossed 15 mph (24 km/h). The noise is coming from the engine compartment. It does it when the engine is at normal operating temperature. Using brake or not does not make any difference.
Any idea of what it could be? Thanks!Ben2008 535xi

May be something going on in the drivetrain ... driveshaft joints (?CV joints?) may "click" if they are beginning to wear. Your indy or dealer could inspect them to see if they are getting "loose" .. my 530xi makes no such noises up or down shifting in "normal", Sport, or Manual so it may be the start of a problem that should be looked at.

Hi, I have had this problem finally checked by the dealer lately. After having change several suspension parts without success, they are going to replace the transmission. And my CPO warranty is ending this month! :-)

I love how they just replace parts as if they know wtf they are doing . I understand the whole elimination process but .............. At least your getting a new tranny . What will they replace next when they put the new tranny in and find out thats not the problem either ? LOL Good Luck keep us informed

I have the same sound. Seems to come from the steering wheel though, and at the same speed. Doesn't do it in M. Transmission downshifting - seems normal (ish).

I have the same issue today, first time hearing this. Exact same sound at same speed 25km/h.
Anyone got update on the fix? Thanks

Hi guys, the problem was from the transmission. By replacing the transmission, the problem was gone.
There was the sound coming from the engine compartment, but also I could feel a very small vibration in the steering wheel sometimes.
