Default New gasket for trans oil pan?

hello everyone, looking for advice on whether I need to replace the gasket for the oil pan that was replaced 10 months ago. I had the trans fluid changed then and replaced the new oil pan and gasket, unfortunately I need to replace the mechatronic sleeve due to bad leak and wonder if I can keep the gasket after 10 months of use. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The existing rubber gasket that fits in the channel of the pan is probably ok, but for piece of mind, I would change it out and have the job complete when you finish, rather than be concerned of a pan leek. Also get a new o ring for the plastic drain plug.

Good luck.

thanks for the advice. I am also looking for tips on replacing the mechatronic sleeve, specifically how to access it with limited space to work with. I have the instructions on how to change it out but heard from many members who have done it had a hard time accessing it.

Yes it can be a little hard to reach it but it is doable. I had mine out in less 5 mins and it took me another 5 mins to put back it. Just make sure when you put it back in it is seated all the way. You should feel a click.

That's amazing.

I had mine out in 30 seconds but probably 20 minutes to get back in. I haven't worked on old Minis for a few years now so my telescopic fingers have fallen off and my elbows no longer bend backwards.

Using curved needle pliers makes it easier to get in
