M54 - burned plastic(?) smell from the engine
sometimes (expecially after intense use in city, or big uphill streets and then parking or stops) i feel a smell of burned plastic, or I think so. Don't know if maybe is burned oil (never smelled it), but seems like "hot" plastic, or plastic fused by somwhat short-circuit.
took car to the dealer, they didn't found nothing strange. nor burned electrical connectors or other strange behaviours. they removed the belts to verify if there may be some leaks or frictions, none.
any ideas?

had the same issue last week. I was driving and was smelling sumn like plastic burning so i pulled over checked under the bonnet and saw nothing. Later during the day i checked under the car because the smell was having me worried. Thats when i realize a plastic bag went under the car and got stuck to part of the exhaust system. I uploaded a video for you to take a look.

the smell returns a lot of times, not so "consistent" as a burned bag, is less "strong" than something clearly burning. I have an idea about it...in a week I'll be sure of my toughts, I'll keep you updated about
