Sounds internal and if I was a gambler I would bet on it being INSIDE the car somewhere in the steering wheel assembly (but obviously it could be communicating up the steering column) ?

Its NOT door seals (I have that problem to fix as well).

It sounds worst on winding B roads at 10 - 20 MPH, and is loud enough to iritate passenger (wife) as well as me ?

Sounds like creaking old door (but quieter), rubber on rubber, plastic on rubber, god only knows ?

Have scoured the various forums, but am none the wiser ?

Any quidance (or direction to other links / forums) would be appreciated ..
Thanks,

Ian

I got that too... Right after I installed the H&R Sport springs... Try this... Stand out of your car with it running and turn the wheel see if you hear it coming from the suspension... It sounds like the steering column from in the car... But when outside it's a whole different story... Seems to only happen when it's cold outside... But not sure. If anyone else has this problem or knows of how to fix it please tell me!

I had the same problem. If you drive round a housing estate so you make lots of turns you end up with a creaking or rubbing sound from the steering. It's the low speeds and multiple turns which shows this up. My dealer replaced the steering column under warranty. I found several reports of this on the forums.
