If you have the electric water pump, follow the bleeding procedure - you can hear it working, so you'll know if you got it started.
My car is an 06'. Where is the drain plug? I don't have an electric pump so do I just fill it up and start the engine two the car will use its own pump?

There's a red "petcock" on the bottom of the radiator on the passenger side, unscrew that and take the cap off the expansion tank and it'll drain out.

The car will "self-bleed" with the old fashioned water pump. This is the procedure in the bentley manual and it was pretty straightforward on my 550i:
Fill up to max in expansion tank, leave the cap off, turn the engine on and put the HVAC on full heat at low fan speed, add coolant as needed to keep the stick at the max, then after a minute of the engine running, put the cap on and keep running the engine until it's full operating temp (100*+ C). When the engine cools down, check the level and add if necessary.
