Default Looking for good independent shops

I recently moved to the Houston, TX area and while I do most minor maintenance on my e60 myself it would be nice to know of any recommended independent, reputable repair shops for BMW's around the area.

Same goes for my father who just moved to Baltimore, his E90 is giving him trouble (valve cover gasket problem I think). Anyone know of good indy shops around Baltimore?

This website might be helpful for you as a starting point. The 2 shops that are listed for San Francisco (where I live) are both reputable, and I've had good experiences at both, so I'm hopeful that the shops listed for Houston and Baltimore are good ones as well.
