My LCI 2008 BMW with LCI tail rods has a flickering issue with left tail. What can problem be? When I unlock the car the left side you can tell is flickering slightly. Car is covered for full warranty but I have HID kit, led sidemarkers, LED interior kit, Xenon license plate lights...can they blame those for the light??

Thanks.

I actually had the exact same problem on monday in addition to light burnt out errors. I pulled out all the bulbs and re-seated the holder for the bulbs and everything went back to normal. no more shaking and no more burnt out bulb errors.

take out all the left taillight bulbs and examine everything and put it back together. That would help narrow down the problem like said above

I had the same problem. The cable that plugged into the plastic holder for the light bulbs was loose. It was causing the light to flicker. You might check yours to see if the plastic is melted. The replacement part was $35.

I took the car to the dealer yesterday. The whole harness had burnt and caused the left area of the trunk to burn and and melt. The constant on off of the led tails caused several of the rods to burn and molt. Needed a new left light, new left harness, and the trunk had to be redone in the back. A five hour job covered under warranty.

Going from major NY highways/thruways to NJ without a left light or a left turn signal working is as difficult and dangerous as it sounds.

A somewhat related post indicated that the OP BMW SA said BMWs don't like LEDs ... maybe this is the case even with your delivered from the factory tails.

So just to try and eliminate LEDs as a problem with the electrical systems in your BMWs start by immediately removing all LEDs and inserting road flares and burning sticks

Maybe that will be the way to the future
