Front Strut Mount Replacement/Symptoms?
Have any of you all replaced these on your E60: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...nt-31336760943
I've been getting some noise predominantly while making left turns. I've had both the upper and lower control arms replaced within the past 2000-3000 miles and I really doubt those are the issue.
I've been chasing a vibration while braking as well...would worn out strut mounts cause anything like that aside from the popping/crunching that happens during turns?

I replaced my shock mounts when I replaced my shocks as a preventive maintenance.
As for vibrations while braking, I changed many many parts until I found the problem.
Can you describe the noise better? Could be a bad wheel bearing and it might explain the vibration while braking also.
What is the mileage on your car?

ripley, yeah, it is a strut mount. And yes, it's only when making a left turn. As I steer out of the turn, it pops again as if it's settling. Really doesn't make the sound while making right turns.
What's interesting is that if I push down on the vehicle above the strut, I don't get any noise. When I lift the front driver side with my jack, as it begins to droop, I get noise. Perhaps the struts are due for replacement.
dragon, the noise is just a typical suspension pop. As the suspension loads up while making left turns it makes a pop pop pop sound.

Could be strut or mount I guess, if your car has high k and your know your shocks are getting soft/leaking, just replace them, not a hard job to do and change the mounts at the same time.
Could also be a loose bold somewhere on the suspension/subframe.
If you have an IX, (I don't know year and model or mileage of your car) it could be a 1/2 shaft but you would have more of a growling noise.
