Default Front license plate holder missing

I bought my car in Arizona, but i moved to California now, where front license plate is mandatory, I just observed that the front license plate holder is missing and their are no screw holes also... what is the easiest way out for me?

Thanks

You can probably order one from the stealer. Or use a towhook mounted plateholder all the hoons like.

Couple of options. There are kits that screw into the tow bolt as audiophool says. If you don't know where that is, it is the little "door" in the bumper off to one side. You can also get the license plate base which comes with cars that are in states with two license plates. Not sure how hard it is to find those already in the color you need. If you have a common color maybe a junkyard has one you can get. I'm pretty sure the license plate base just screws into the bumper and either the holes are just hidden or they just screw into the bumper material. There may be different parts for PDC and non-PDC bumbers.

Wait your supposed to have a front plate? Instead of using the normal holder look for the L bracket versions that screw in from the bottom so there are no screw holes on the front of the bumper.

I did check the trunk space and I found the plate holder... but their were no screws along with it, so the question is:

Can I install this plate mount without drilling the holes?

Nope. You'd need to change plate holders to have the screw hole on the bottom. Here's a pretty good site for LP brackets. License Plate Bracket Front: New No Drill Options 2013

I got a "fix-it" ticket for missing front license here in WA state. Had 10-days to fix it or they'll send me a real ticket in the mail

Don't have the heart to drill the bumper so I got this for now:

I just got pulled over here in MD (2nd time in 3 years) and told the trooper that the bumper did not come with license plate holder (same answer as before), just got a warning and a feedback form on how the traffic stop was . I just remember not to speed so that I don't catch their attention.

BTW, I was in LA sometime back and DID notice a majority of BMW's or Audi's were rolling without front license plate.
