to see the difference in rotations per mile. I did the math for yours and I'm not sure this could be the issue.

I am thinking of selling it or trading in. Thanks for all your help on this thread!
When my trany was surging . When I took it in, they said they could not duplicate it.. so I insisted a trany update, and it fixed the issue. think it costs around 200 bucks. Not sure thats your issue,, but for only 200 bucks I would try it.

Can this really be true? I have had the tranny replaced and the mechatronic last year and still same issue. This dealer has had my vehicle for going on 6 weeks and I think that they are just trying to get rid of my car and my issues by saying that when they put the original diameter wheels and tires and drove it, all is well????? HELP can this really be a valid reason? I run winter 17" wheel/tire combo I bought from TireRack and still have the same issue..... I need to know if I should pick up my car and take it to another dealer.. hard to believe that a wheel switch makes all go away. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
As per another post on the forum, it's worth a shot...

Also, the garage your dealing with doesn't sound very resourceful as they are dismissing the scenario from your winter package.

Hope this works out for you...

I want to do this update! How exactly do I tell the dealership? Is there a service bulletin of some sort? Can only the dealerships do this update? For those of you in socal that went to the dealer and got it: what dealerships did you guys go to and what did you tell them? Thanks

I went to the dealership in Glendale and I told them I wanted to update the software in the DME and Reset the adaption values and he looked dumbfounded and asked me what was wrong with the car? I said irregular rpm behavior. He said that they could only do something to the car if something is wrong with it. Then I asked "You can't just update the software because i'm pretty sure it hasn't been updated and I know you can check. Then he said it'll cost about 390$ I asked him how long would the job take? He said 3-4 hrs... I just left right after.
