Hi folks,
I'm now encountering a problem with the passenger's side window...

Two days ago, while driving, I got a check-control message telling me that the anti-strap was malfunctionning.
No big deal, once home, I tried each window to sort the faulty one. Driver's side... ok, passenger's side... ah, not working, rear left and right... ok.
I tried the comfort opening... all ok, except the passenger's one... of course !
I decided to search for a solution on different forums without any success (all kind of re-initialization procedure failed).
The symptoms are:
- impossible to open the window, even for a milimeter (luckilly, it's closed).
- No typical noise of power upon switch activation.
- Driver's side combo and switch on the passenger's harmrest give the same (NO) result.

Did any of you guys encounter this kind of problem ?
Does any of you have another suggestion / idea before calling the dealer for an apointment ?

Thanks for sharing.

Etienne

If you are comfortable with removing the door panel, you could check the wiring, could be that there is a broken cable

Motor for passenger side window my be dead. To confirm this theory, you will need to remove the door panel and power the motor directly (12V jumper) and see if the motor works.

+1

Should be an easy fix since the window is already pushed all the way up unless rivets are being used to secure the motor and nuts/bolts won't work. Then you will have to source a rivet gun

If I am not mistaken the fuses are or may be different for each front window - I glanced at my fuse diagram and while they are listed separately I couldn't make out the number for the passenger window control... You may want to check that first since it would be the easiest solution.

Last update:

Today while trying the window switch (shame on me) a last time, the window went fully down
and didn't want to go up...

Tomorrow, I will be by the dealer's door at 8 AM sharp.

The good new is: the motor is OK

Seems to be the module... I hope.
Maybe the car detected that the new one is on order...

Did you reinitialize the window? I remember i had to go through a procedure outlined on this board involving hitting the window up and down switches a specific # of times to reset and clear the window trap function error. It's now fine.

Edit - i see you did attempt a reinit... gl @ the dealer.

I was effectively the passenger window module that was dead.

Now everything is alright and the F10 will be there mid-April...
