I have a 2006 525i with factory Halogen. I bought the Bi-Xenons w/ AHL.. i have all bulbs and ballast. I know i need to get an LM2 and change the plugs. is there anything else i need buy? I heard about a AHL module, do I need that if I was running Halogen?

You need to get a LM2 with AHL functionality. Thats it.
Wiring is specific to get the AHL functionality working though.
Remember you need to get the height sensors and headlamp washers also to get it 100% oem.

sorry, i mean ACL module.. it connects to the bottom of the headlight next to the ballast. witch one is the height sensors? and i dont really care much for the washers, i dont need them. Not looking to be OEM, I just like it to style.

i have a pre-lci with adaptive and xenons, but i want to covert to LCI, i dont care about getting lci xenons, i would be fine with halogens and just get a HID kit, i really dont think ill tell a difference, i plan to cut these up anyways and put orions on, so the cheaper the better for me , i just want it for looks, and will keep my current headlights for when it comes to sell the car...anyone know what route would be best for me?

Height sensors are on the front an rear axle so the Xenons are autoleveling.
Washers and autoleveling are needed to pass the MOT in most country's.

All depends if you have a LM2 or not. Since you already have xenons I would go for the OEM retrofit.

If he wants to update to LCI halogens, LM2 is not required unless he wants welcome light and angel eyes as DRL via coding.

True, but with an LM1 he would have a specific xenon LM1. Is this going to work on halogens ? A Xenon to Halogen retrofit is I think new, at least I have never seen on.

Just saying if he has an LM2 he could do a OEM retrofit.

Yes it will work. The rest is just coding.

I have done plenty of pre-LCI xenons to LCI halogens for people that are willing to lose adaptives for basically 1/3 of the cost of buying all the xenon parts and labor.
