Hi, just wondering if anyone knows where I can get some custom coding done on my 2006 E60 M5 in the Vancouver area?
I've seen some pretty neat videos on the forums, wouldn't mind giving it a try.

Thanks!
Ozzy

What are you hoping to do? I've successfully coded a couple things on mine. I'm downtown.

I just ordered some LCI style aftermarket tail lights and I was told by a member on M5board.com that the brake bulb is faintly lit behind the LED stripes during normal driving, possibly a DRL thing. I'm wondering if the brake light can be coded to 0V during Normal driving, and full illumination when the brake pedal is pressed. I haven't installed the tails yet, I just picked them up today from Blaine.

Maybe we can meet up downtown sometime. I'll by you a coffee! I go downtown a lot for work. I'll install them tomorrow if it doesn't rain.

no, they just won't do your after market tail lights
why not buy a real one, and get a pair of moded light cords? it save lots of job.

most of the after market light, the light lines spreading does not reach the end of the side end on the tail light. that's why i don't consider after market tail light.

how much is a m5 in vancouver now?

I hear you bbl, I usually go OEM but the pricing on these dash Z lights was very attractive and a few other board members have tried them. OEM Hella tail lights plus cables are about $800 brand new, maybe $650 used. These are only $300. If they suck, I will sell them off for cheap and buy OEM.

Vancouver pricing for an M5 is still ridiculous, but in the US, you can buy a good 06 for about $30k. Great deal. Lots of new owners on the forums these days. I've had mine for a year and a half. The car is AMAZING!

What is pricing like in HK?

there is one call bruce cable, or ask John at motorcept for the cable, i believe it is cheap, i'm going to get a oem hella once i find one cheap. then get the cable from John.

really, 30k is cheap, u can just import one from us. but i'm afraid there will be alot of fix on 06 m5, and i don't know any good garage for bmw in vancouver, if u know, please tell me. (don't tell me bmw vancouver/richmond or brian jessel ) how much is the m5 in canada? 70k??

hk 06 m5 is about 500k hkd, about 65k cad. it can be from local, eu or jap version.

go study from this web, i need to learn coding soon.

You should try NIXON Automotive.
6935 Buller Ave , Burnaby. 604 432 9333 (somewhere on Kingsway, beside that Mazda dealer)
They charge around $100 per hour. They are better than Brian Rip Off Jessel or BMW Store. I`m looking to get something done too. Windows, aux input and stuff like that. For the Aux Input they said is gonna be under $100.
