e60 545i flat tire error and tpm in i-drive can't select it to reset
So, I had a blowout at 90, all safe but after putting new tire on the ability to reset is not
a option i can get to, the tpm setting is not selectable like its not there, is it possible someone coded this wrong and its a conflict? it never went into red error state until it
did in fact have a flat time, my ones manual says it should say ftm but my i-drive says tpm, again not selectable, so i have the exact size tire and same pressure set as well,
any ideas on how to get the flat tire error to reset? do i need to find a coder?
Any ideas guy's?

You don't need to start the car, so just turn the key to "ON" > "Accept" the legal notice on screen.
Then let the idrive screen boot into your last used page.
1. Hit the menu button
2. At the home function menu, push down on your idrive knob
3. Select "Settings" on the next screen
4. Scroll down and select "Vehicle/Tires"
5. Scroll over and select "FTM"
6. Select "Reset"
7. Do you want to reset the tire pressure, select "yes"
8. Status will change to Resetting FTM....
Hope that helps.

Sorry to resurrect an old post, but I have searched all over, and this is the exact OP question to my problem. My 2005 545i iDrive has TPM where FTM should be, and it is greyed out, not selectable. Nothing shows up underneath it either. I also had a real flat tire, and I have not been able to reset the system, now 100 miles later. I also performed the iDrive secret menu, and noticed that all my software versions are from 2008 and my car is a 2005. Did the OP ever come up with a solution?

Previous owner must have retrofitted your idrive to a newer model. You might want to look around or start a new thread asking what to do in this case for older model with FTM > TPMS.

Thanks Boost. I will see what else I can find. I do have the rubber valve stems on my current wheels, so I don't think I have individual sensors like found in the newer TPMS system. And when the tires were mounted, the shop didn't mention anything about sensors in the wheels. By the look of everything, I do have the CCC system, and not the CIC system. I'm now wondering along the way, someone tried to code it, and messed something up.

If you have Nav, may well be the CCC mother board went out and the former owner had the board replaced or just replaced the entire CCC unit with a used one out of a 08. Which case you need to have the CCC coded to your vin number and update the unit to your build order based on vin number. NCSExpert is your friend here.
Just replaced my motherboard a month ago and coded vin to CCC with a build order coding. Car is as delivered in March of 05 once again.
