Default Day running lights

Day running lights are enabled but don't work, is there a dedicated fuse for them. Thanks Paneuro.

Default Fuses

I can't believe nobody on here knows anything about fuses on a 530D 2008.

Well what's your question? Have you looked at the fuse diagram in your "boot"?

I merged your posts. It helps if you follow up in the same thread.

Hi, didn't know there were fuses in the boot, can you say if these day running lights have a dedicated fuse? I have looked at the fuses behind the glove box on the passenger side but there is no diagram or info to indicate what fuse is what. paneuro

The diagram is in the boot emergency panel on the inside of the lid. There is a hand turned screw at the top and the panel unfolds to reveal the tow hook, warning triangle, first aid kit, etc. In there are also spare fuses and the fuse diagram. This is all explained the owner's manual as well.

Regarding the DRLs, I'm sure they are part of a lighting fuse (I have an 04 and don't have them so I can't answer this question for you).

Exterior lights, headlights, marker lights, tail lights, etc are controlled by a light module (LM). The LM is a computer that switches lights on and off as require to complete requested functions. The module has the ability to detect irregularities within a light circuite and power off the affected light/lights. If the halo lights are not burned out, then you will need to use test equipment to determine what is going on.

Here's an idea of the form of testing required to determine what your problem may be.
