Default A couple quick questions. '09 528

I purchased the car 6 weeks ago.....still love it....but.......
1) the dealer put pads on before purchase, 1000 miles later, I'm getting the shake when I hit my brakes. I have rotors, do I need to change pads since they are new so to speak?

2) I'm not home so I can't plug in to read codes. In the morning at about 40 degrees F, I start her, I start rolling. In roughly a quarter mile, I get a yellow engine light and she starts " missing". I pull over, stop then start and all is well. I drove 150 mile s today and no issues afterwards. Am I safe in getting home. 300miles. A fluke? Normal to happen?

68k miles. No duplicate symptoms on my 328 or 325......this one is a new challenge

Thanks for any input........
One more........I have the yellow halos and halogen lights......can I just get the white halos or is a change of the entire assembly needed.

Again, thanks

You have brake pad deposits.. read up on them

If your car is missing.. you might have problems with your injectors.. but you need those codes. I might at least mention it to the dealer just to keep your bases covered if they have a warranty.. there hopefully is one if the problem is real. the 328 or 325 has much less "technology" and problems.

Lights can all be changed (in color) by getting different bulbs.

Good luck.

Shake could also be worn suspension bushings. Have them checked out. The fluid-filled bushings for the front lower control arms/thrust arms are a common failure point.

As for the halos/angel eyes, you just need to change the H8 bulbs (one per headlight). You could go with a cooler color temp incandescent (eg 8500K), or one of the many LED replacement kits available.
