Bumpers difference.
Hi,
Can someone share some light. Are the MSport bumpers same between pre-LCI and LCI(PDC holes size)?
I have been reading things about smaller/bigger sensors,Real oem says that bumpers are the same tho, confused a bit.
Thanks.

So according to realoem/bmwfans E60 use same sport bumper regarding the year(pre-LCI or LCI)
Trim cover, bumper, primered, front 7897208 | BMW 51117897208
I think that the only difference between sizes is standard pre-LCI vs standard LCI.Msport are the same. Can some one confirm that please.

51117897208 For pre-LCI with PDC
51118044584 For LCI with PDC
LCI PDC holes are bigger than pre-LCI
LCI has side reflectors by the wheel well

Second part number gives me nothing as this is probably bumper with mentioned side reflectors that are not in use in Europe.
I still think that there is no difference between sport bumpers.I'm not upgrading from standard to sport, just need a new sport bumper.Standard bumpers are different(preLCI vs LCI) so that might be an issue with pdc size when people changing bumpers from standard to sport one.

I'm a little annoyed about the PDC hole size difference too. I ordered an Umnitza rear M-sport bumper to replace my 08 (LCI) M-sport damaged bumper. The holes drilled on the Umnitza bumper are clearly smaller than my PDC sensors.

Yeah, since Umnitza universally selling those bumper to the E60, both LCI and pre-LCI. If you ask them, they will just tell you to have the body shop to enlarge the holes to fit the LCI's PDCs

E60 LCI models come with 18mm PDC
pre-LCI models come with 24mm PDC
E60 LCI models with the sports package come with 24mm PDC
Wonder why BMW used 2 different size PDC sensors on LCI models?

Factory front bumpers look different, the pre-lci design has a design that ties the grills together, lci does not have that and look better IMHO
