Default BMW E60 LCI 530D Increase turbo boost?

Hey guys so ive had my car now for about 8 months now and im loving it, a few problems have occurred but I have managed to get them resolved sunroof not working occasionally, thigh support on the passenger side stopped working, etc but I guess its a love and hate relationship and as soon as im driving it all the small little problems dont really matter. Ive uploaded a few pics i took of it and it looks great. I think i will leave it stock, perhaps go for bigger rims in the future but it already looks great for now. Tell me what you guys think, would love to hear your opinions on the car.

Now however I'm kind of wishing it a had more power, ive looked into getting a remap but I was wondering since it is a turbo diesel perhaps I could also increase the boost by a small amount. Have any of you guys done something like this, and if so how much extra in boost, what kind of gains were seen, and if any other extra parts were needed to handle the extra pressure.

Thanks guys

Hello fellow Brisbaner.

I am also considering a remap - probably Evolve Switch. But not because I feel my car is short on power - seems to work quite well DS mode. More out of curiosity. Everybody says the guys at Evolve are happy to answer questions - I haven't contacted them yet.

I got a big power-up once I cleaned out the DPF.

I'm more focused on handling right now - going to try non run flats and maybe an Eibach sway bar.

Is the evolve switch a clip on? Ive been looking into BSR for the remap currently, just need to save for the money for it now haha.

How did you clean the DPF? did you get it removed?

I've heard that big improvements in terms of comfort, ride, and handling by running non-run flats thou im quite happy with the handling of it for now, perhaps in time when I take it to the track, I'll perhaps go for non run flats.

Evolve switch is where you send them your vin and they send a device to plug in and remap the car properly - as opposed to driving the car to them and waiting - this is hard to do since they are in the UK.. This device with the map also allows you to restore/unrestore as often as you need to. Maybe we could group buy a couple?

I pulled off my dpf to get it cleaned at Rocklea - took a while but a fun learning experience.

Just looked at the BSR website. Seems very similar to the Evolve system - albeit a bit cheaper.
