#1
So I got the possessed a/c problem that was ridiculously common and recalled in the e39 and was wondering if someone could tell me where the resistor/blower regulator is on this car--I did a search on google and this site and doesnt seem this is a common issue on the e60 as I couldnt find one post on this with a location or diy
any help would be great!

thanks rudy and hate to sound retarded but is that located where the rear seat vents/light sockets are? at the back of the middle armrest piece.-those pics are so hard to follow-i guess i should buy the repair book

ahh your right-it threw me since it showed the armrest in the first pic but now I see the idrive screen at the top of the pick-wow that looks like a bitch-I think ill wait 6 more days until my carchex arranty kicks in and just get the dealer to do it. forget it!

got oil changed today and had them give me a quote--780 dollars to change it!! Ridiculous---you just canot own these cars without a warranty--that is a damn 100 dollar resistor-it is bad enough parts are costly but labour if you want it done at a dealer--warranty of some kind is a must

Diamond, did you end up replacing it?
I owned an E46 and i had this crazy fan going on, so after little research i found what is the problem and how to take care of it. Now that i bought E60, it seems that the problem is following me! I have a crazy blower again....
