Well guys,

After feeling quite disappointed with my Sept 03 E60 525i SE I have now changed it for a 530d SE and the test drive was awsome!
Town, A road, Motorway, country 35.9 mpg and not hanging about.

I couldn't get on with my 525 (See previous threads). Finally BMW came, had a look and told me the car performed/handled as it was intended. I love my BMW's so I asked to change out of it and the 530d was a Sept 03 ex demo with 9000 miles on the clock.

spec. 530d, Titanium Silver, Black Dakota leather, Auto, Active Steering, Sports suspension, Rear side airbags, De Chroming, Space saver wheel,6 disc CD, Floor mats, Auto dim int & folding ext mirrors, Elec front seats with driver memory, Through load system with ski bag (no I dont ski ), Bi Xenon headlights with wash, Adaptive headlights, Advanced Aircon, 122 Star spoke with run flats, business nav system, PDC. Phew! Oh yes and Amazing glaze paint treatment!

The drive was phenominal, Performance amazing, Handling first class!

Collect it tomorrow and cant wait!

Big thankyou to BMW UK for all their assistance and my dealer for their patience and assistance!

The right engine !!

you can only tell people so much...they really have to drive it to experience that seamless wave of torque

doubters....just check the 50-75mph figures and see what more than double the torque of the 525i really means......in fact the 530d has 12% more torque than the 545i and the same amount as the E39 M5.

You can tell I love it!

well done and seems that BMW uk came up trumps for you.

Yes. I've had BMW's for 10 years plus and my dealer has been fantastic!

The diesel in my opinion is by far superior and the gearbox is ideally suited

likewise , whenever I've thought I might buy a non-Bmw, I just think of the 15 year relationship with my dealer and I buy another

my tally so far is (between wife and me)
2 7series
3 3series
a Z3
A mini cooperS

This will be my first 5 (and I have a 120 diesel on order for the mrs!)

Very nice.

My Tally

1 x E34 M5
1 x E34 530 SE
1 x E38 728i Individual
2 x E39 530d Sports
1 x E30 325i Cabriolet
1 x E60 525 iSE
Now
1 x E60 530d SE

Not a bad tally I reckon!
