545 coolant boiling

My Ride: 545 2005 Model. Full spec so happy with as is.(for the moment!)
Default 545 coolant boiling

Hi guys, strange one this.. After a long run parked up and lifted the hood to hear the coolant in the radiator boiling away!!!! Temp gauge on the dash is ok and no warnings..
Any ideas ??

Had the same issue ,, would go on long drives the car ran cool . Every time i'd shut the car off the coolant in the expansion tank was like boiling water .. No errors no warnings It was driving me nuts, I couldnt under stand why the car wasn,t over heating . Was leaning toward a bad temp sensor .. After a week or so of this , I figured it out . It was the expansion tank cap . it wasn"t holding pressure , it was hissing after 10-15 minutes loosing pressure after I shut the car down . After a new cap ,, all is good , no more boiling coolant .
