Question 523i engine oil ....

Hi guys.

First of all, I am very sorry about my immature english skills...

I have some questions.
I have E60 523i (06).
Two weeks ago, I filled engine-oil up and I checked that oil levels are full on the I-drive.
After filling, I drove e60 during two weeks about 1000km and I found just two levels exist on the I-drive.
So I spilled out whole engine-oil and I found it has about 6L.
I can't find any leaking engine-oil. Is the oil-level sensor crazy? But a Mechanic said to me sensor is okay.....what is the problem?

What do you mean "two levels exist on the I-drive" ? Are you saying you checked it twice and each time it showed a different level?

If it is green on iDrive you are ok. I don't know what engine you have. The M54 and N52 engines both take 6.5L. If you have one of those engines and drained 6L, that sounds close enough - there is always some in the oil filter.

When I change the oil, I change the filter and put in 6.5L for my N52. Never had a problem with too high or too low level on iDrive.

Thanks for your reply.

That wasn't what I mean...

Hm...I mean two bars on iDrive...When oil levels are full, iDrive shows me six bars but now it shows me just two ...

Oh, and my E60 has n52 engine.

I think I remember reading someplace that when you change your oil, the iDrive measurement of oil level isn't valid until after 15km of driving. When did you get the 2 measurements?
