2008 bmw 550i oil leak

I have a oil leak around the alternator. I've looked around and cant find nothing on it.

Search for e60 filter gasket. Oil cooler too if you have one connected to your oil filter.

My Ride: 2010 BMW 550i M Sport. GPS, Satallite, Active suspension, Silver over Black in color with beige. 68k on the clock. My 10th BMW in forty years.

Model Year: 2010

Engine: 550 Msport

there is an oil seal behind the Alternator that is very likely the culprit. Just has mine replaced at the dealer for $1,400.00

its called an alternator bracket seal. costs like $5, but you need to remove the alternator and bracket to get to it. search and you'll find more info.
