My e34 535's fuel gauge is showing full when full and a quickly goes to 1/4 tank.(within a day or 60 miles). Any ideas if its the sender? the guage?

Most likely the fuel tank sender.

The gauges / instruments usually work from a voltage stabilised supply in the instrument panel and if the temperature gauge is OK, then the fuel gauge is OK.
