During one of my NCSExpert sessions, I attempted to modify a trace file to implement the feature that closes the sunroof when rain is detected. The expect result is the requirement to initialize the sunroof once the coding update is complete.
Problem:
The sunroof opens and closed via the button in short increments with the warning message that the ani-trap function is not active.
I have attepted the initilization process by pressing in the button that raises the vent, then in about 20secs the vent lowers. The second phase of inialization nevers starts - it never slides open/closed.
I have removed the fuse and tried the process with the same results.
Any other procedures to try to get this going? I don't mind paying my SA to bail me out but I would prefer to get it going myself. Probably won't be the last time I cause this to happen

Great Tip! That did the trick - even disconnecting the battery didn;t take care of it.
I recoded the rain sensing close again - it took without wacking out the sunroof this time- but it doesn't close the sunroof when I squirt the windshield and make the auto wipers come on.
Thanks BLooD!

No it wont or your wipers would go mad lol, it should only work when the auto wipe function is on and the sensor picks up the rain hitting the screen.

It seems your description is the same as mine. If I squirt the screen with water, the auto wipers would come on and the sunroof would close correct? Does the car have to be actually started and running or should I expect it to work with just the ignition on?

I honestly thought this option was for when the car is parked, meaning if you had your windows and sunroof open and it started raining, they would close.
