I retrofited Independent heater Webasto and remote for control independent heating and independent ventilation. For remote control you need just original transmitter (on the photo in the middle), but this solution have disadvantages: small range (theoretically 300m), no feedback if signal is no received and big dimensions of transmitter.
I used Telestart T91 kit (antenna, receiver, key fob and wiring loom) with analog output (!) and modified original transmitter for E60:



Small 2 sided PCB with voltage stabiliser and PIC switches 2 buttons of original transmitter depending on the signal level from the analog output of Telestart receiver - that is all.



Remote controller (now it is converter) installed in the car and T91 key fob with BMW badge from ebay.



The same solution will be used for remote with 3 buttons, in the future I will make this modification to a friend's 3 buttons remote from E65 (remote big like a brick ).

Hello!

I also installed Webast in the car (E60 530) afterwards and now I want to install a remote control. There is a T91 for sale now, but I don't know what car it was in.
Question:
Installable T91 in my car
Do you need to code the car?
How do I activate it if I installed T91 in the car?
