Default MTech front bumper installation help

Guys
I installed the Mtech front bumper a while back and I'm pretty fed up with the fitment issues.
There was a great post of how to cut the impact foam to make it fit correctly however the pics are no longer visible.
Does anyway have pics of how to mod/ cut the foam?

it may seem like nothing but the foam is very important if you get in a collision.
I would much rather cut it to fit than to remove it.

Thanks tho

I got the oem retrofit kit last year and the only foam part I had to shave was were the two little brackets go on the front. I believe the non sport bumper bracket go straight out while the sport one have a step. I shaved/made a cutout for the step and my bumper sits almost perfectly. There's a gap, noticeable only if I point it out and next to a factory installed kit. I'll get on my laptop later and see if I have pics of what I'm talking about.

So here's one of the DIY's I used when I did this in my driveway.

The official guide has a parts picture. It is part O. It doesn't mention cutting but it should be obvious what need to be done once you put them on and see how they are angled down.

As you can see in the pics if I ever get around to taking the bumper back off I would need to shave a few more millimeters of material off the bumper foam to make it sit properly. Keep in mind that its probably better to take too much than not enough. I did what I thought was enough but after the bumper was slide on it was a little off and I didnt notice until I had secured it down.

Let me know if you need more help and I'll see what I can come up with.

I wish mine looked like yours...I have gaps beneath both headlights and the alignment is just off.
So you're saying part O needs the be shaved down? all this time I thought people was talking about shaving the impact foam.

once again thanks you've been the most helpful member for me on multiple things

Sorry if I made it sound confusing, where part O attaches you need to shave the foam down to allow it to sit properly. I will look for the other DIY's I used here and see if I can find them. Also if you happen to take the bumper off and snap some pics I can easily point where to cut. Last thing did you just buy the bumper or get it as a kit? There's a lot of little extra bits that you don't get it you just order the bumper.

Looking back, I should have made a DIY with detailed pics of the install but it was still kinda cold up here and I actually got sick putting the kit on because of it. I also kinda just tore the front bumper off the car, hahaha.

This post, and the pics in it, should help you out greatly. I will continue to search for others.
