HELP! Rear window rubber trim replacement!

WOW! I have a 2004 E60 525i my FRONT and REAR window shield rubber trim is deteriorating bad.
So when you remove the trim you don't need any glue or sealant to hold the trim from coming out or loosening?
Is the FRONT windshield as easy? Has anyone done the FRONT windshield before?

JUST GOT MY NEW REAR SEAL FROM THE BMW DEALER FOR 45$ TAX INCLUDED. SO I WILL BE REPLACING MINE THIS WEEKEND.. I CANT WAIT TO GET RID OF THE THING THATS THERE NOW LOL

My Ride: 2005 530i, Orient Blue, M-tech Front, otherwise stock.
I can only speak for the rear since that's all I did and had to do. There was no glue or adhesive that was needed. Once you start fitting hte seal on, you'll see why. I asked the same question beforehand, but I am very confident it will stay in place. It's on there tight and there is a metal strap that is in the rubber seal that acts as a stiffener.

The front trim is a little bit tricky because requires to remove the windshield side trims 
. They have about 4-5 clips spaced across the molding or trim that hold them in place. After removing the side trims, all you have to do is pull out the cracked rubber trim carefully because it has double side tape on the roof side.
Next step will be to clean up the area. The new rubber trim comes also with the double side tape; install it by pushing it in from one side to the other, the order does not matter. Very important
not to peel off the tape cover until it is in the correct position, so if it needs to be repositioned you can still do it until is right. After that is to put back the side trims. That's it.
Unfortunately I do not have pictures
of this because it was done by a glass repair serviceman when I used the insurance to cover my cracked windshield. But I was fortunate 
to saw the process; no special tool other than a small phillips screwdriver. BTW I ended up keeping the OEM front rubber trim, if anyone interested just PM me.

man the rear trim was very very easy. took about 5mins to take the rear old one out and clean everything out. and another 5-10mins to work the new one in. looks great now.
