My Ride: 03 525i. Fairly basic with a few extras
Default Factory sub install.

New to the site...hope I posted this in the correct section.

I'm looking to put some lower tones in my 03 525. I know there was an option for a factory subwoofer that was installed on the underside of the rear dash.

My question is...if I bought one the the sub units...would it be a simple plug and play or does it depend on what radio I have now?

I'm not looking to install aftermarket as that would simply be overkill for what I truly need.

I'm hoping to be able to buy the factory sub encloser...mount it (after knocking out the metal "plugs" under the rear dash...and hook up to existing factory plugs without rewiring or cutting harnesses.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. ..thank you.
