Need of new parts will be:

- steering wheel with integrated heating system
- Rotary coupler
- SZL Switch center steering column
- steering column cover (only without electric steering column adjustment)
- heater switch

Steps:

- exchange of new parts required
- Coding new FA with $ 248 LENKRADHEIZUNG
- possibly replacing the orig. VIN in the SZL
- calibration of the steering angle sensor

Prices and Partnumbers look on the online ETK by your model.
The parts are expensive ~1000 ? ... look for used parts .

I think the DIY is already posted here. Other than replacing the parts and coding the car do I need to do any addtional wiring? My car is 525i MY 03/07 LCI. I have electronic steering adjustment.

I am almost ready to take up this retrofit, szl, coil spring and switch already at hand, steering is on the way. From TIS I found the instruction to remove the coil spring, but cannot find the procedure to remove the SZL, any help is appreciated, also how to do the calibration of the steering angle sensor? I have used INPA to read error memory and used ncsexpert to code retrofit.
