wow!!! it seems easy enough how long did it take you to do it And did you do front bumper as well? or anydoby here ever did front bumper and side skirts i was planning to do the MTECH upgrade myself. thanks
I took my time with the first side...had a briefing over the phone from nicke60gre and had a go at it - about an hour.
Obviously the other side was straightfoward, hence the luxury of taking pics, which added to the total time, but without the foto shooting 40 min tops.

I'd say give yourself time to setup everything right, 1 hour per side.

Didn't do the front, I did the rear which I am preparing the pdf DIY soon...

Great DIY series. One question regarding take-off. It appears that these will contact the front edge of the rear door at the B-pillar region if you pull sideways. This is where there's a cutout for the door swing. Is that a risk when removing or does the sill just drop down below the door and not contact it?

Thanks

It seemed to me there was little risk for contact, although some attention is needed. More important though is the install of the new sideskirts, you will need to "wiggle" that part of the sideskirt into position, maybe some tape around that area (door and B pillar) is not a bad idea to avoid scratching. I did this on the first side initially, but got more confident for the other side and discarded the need.

I scratched mine a bit when I was trying to do this myself. Pre-taping sounds like a great idea. Also I think the best way is to pre-tape and have a second person so that both people can hold each end of the skirt up and mount it to avoid scratching.

The key thing is laying out blankets along the side and rear of the car to rest the parts on. I neglected this step on one sideskirt and ended up having mild scuff marks at the bottom of the skirt. No matter how careful I was, there was a scuff mark. From that point on, I layed the parts on the blanket and none of them got scuffed or scratched.
