Hi guys. I'm new to the forum and this is my new threat so go easy on me.

So last saturday I took some time off, loaded the bucket with the goodies in the trunk and headed to the place where I wash my car. After a hot summer and a lot of washes during the past 2 months, it was time to wax my mystic blue german beauty again and bring back the great shine

This is my second wax so I still don't trust myself to work with the rotary. I do it by hand and it takes time and effort, but at the end it is the best feeling to see the shiny result of your effort. I love that colour!!!

The products I used were:

Nigrin car shampoo ( German make, but I'm not happy with it)
Turtle wax wheel cleaner
Turtle wax black chrome - plastic dressing
Sonax insektenentferner - insects remover
Sonax Extreme liquid wax nr. 2
Ma Fra tire dressing
Ma Fra carpet cleaner
A bunch of microfibre towells
5 different brushes
Car Care spunge
Lavor pressure washer

So I started with a quick rinse fo the entire car - to get rid of all the loose dirt and also cool down the surface a little bit

Some pics of the insect contamination oll over the car

I usually start the wash from the wheels:

I spray them with the Turtle Wax wheels cleaner and leave them to soak for 1-2 minutes. Usually I spray the second wheel while the first one soaks, then I go back and work with the brush:

Wheels brushed and rinsed:

I 100% guarantee you'll never hand wax again if you pic up a Orbital Porter cable. It is idiot proof! I see you didnt do a claying..easiest thing to do is clay after the final rinse
A. your car will be easier to dry after and
B. you'll have that waxed look to it and
C. it will make your car easier to wash and clay the next time!

Also good work on the car

I'm sure it's much easier to do it with the orbital, but since I'm in Europe, here we don't get the same products as you do in the us and I can't get my hands on a Porter Cable The other issue is the lack of such great forums as this one - here you can always get tips about what works and what doesn't. In my area you're going blindfolded - pretty much I have to go by my own experience

I want to get a clay bar so bad, but it's impossible fo find one over here!

I thought that you clay the car before polishing and waxing?

The car looks good! Great results.

I have an orbital polisher (Flex XC 3401 VRG), but I still wax the car by hand.
Some liquid "waxes" and sealants sure can be applied with a machine, but I mostly use carnauba waxes and hard paste sealants and I really don't think they could be applied with an orbital polisher.

Take a look at the "Detailingworld.co.uk"! It's a great Europian site to learn and see other people's detailings!

edit: Oh! I highly recommend a British webshop www.cleanyourcar.co.uk!!! Their selection is very large and they ship very fast! I have ordered most of my detailing stuff from them.
