Question HELP: Brake Dust Woes

I need help with keeping brake dust off my wheels especially the fronts. I've tried lots of things including Wheel Wax but to no avail. Can someone offer suggestions please? Thanks in advance.

Change the brakes to ceramic. Either way, you will still have brake dust just not as much.

Yeah, most of the treatments I've seen only last about two weeks and then you have to keep reapplying. Do yourself a favor and change out your pads to ceramic. I prefer Akebono. If your pads still have life, live with the dust until such time when can swap them out.

There are lots of discussions here about the pros and cons of ceramic pads, but I think the consensus favors them.

Cleaning them more often is your best choice.
Akebono pads are the way to remedy this as mentioned. I have them but also pull the wheels off and use one of the ceramic coatings.
Clean with Iron-X, rinse, wheel cleaner, rinse, soap, rinse, polish, wipe down with paint prep(or 15% isopropyl alcohol/water mix) and finally coat.

I use CarPro CQuartz UK3 just because I always have some. It works great.
The dust doesn't collect as willingly and pretty much blasts off with water. Although you should clean them with your car soap and a set of wheel brushes of your choice.
The barrels are very important to keep clean besides the faces. You dont want the dreaded BMW baked brake dust on your wheels.

I was thinking about changing to ceramics but my Indy mechanic says rotors wear faster with ceramics.

What has your personal experience been with ceramics? Is there any noticeably excessive rotor wear over metallics?

I am not a brake pad burner so I don't have a problem.
I almost never have to hit the brakes hard. I predict and coast a lot.
I have heard that before about ceramics but never really noticed any excessive rotor wear.

This was the first google after searching do ceramic brake pads wear rotor quicker

from Tire Rack
These pads use ceramic compounds and copper fibers in place of the semi-metallic pad's steel fibers. This allows the ceramic pads to handle high brake temperatures with less heat fade, provide faster recovery after the stop, and generate less dust and wear on both the pads and rotors.
