Warranty question...

if you get something fixed under warranty and then it breaks again when youre out of warranty will BMW fix it for free or not?
a few months ago my passenger adaptive headlight stopped turning and the light started blinking next to my light switch, so i took it to the dealer and they ended up giving me a whole new headlight assembly. everythng worked fine until now. i just noticed both headlights stopped turning and the light started flashing again.

Greetings fellow St. Louisan. Technically, no, once the warranty period is up your coverage terminates. However, some forum members have reported that SAs will sometimes override the rules as a goodwill gesture. I'm sure your future business may be worth more than the repair. Worth a shot. Good luck.

I think you get 12months warranty or so. If you pay for the dealer to fix something, BMW usually has a warranty on the part and labor for certain amount of time. Call BMW NA.

Correct. Theres warranty on the particular part that they fixed if it breaks again within a certain time frame. I heard it was longer than 12 months but since majority here is saying is that I wont disagree, best to call and ask. It might depend on the part.
