I took a copy of SIB 653005 into the dealership to get them to update the software on my car to enable it to play MP3 cd's. It's a 2005/07 model 545i with NAV, so it's supposed to work, the owner's manual even says it should work.
When I got it back, they gave me a copy of the "Status report for found mandatory measures" and "Final report". Neither of them mention the KMP3 code like it mentions in the service bulletin produdure step 4: "The service code "KMP3" will be added to the end of hte vehicle order as displayed in the Measures Plan."
And when I got home I burned two CD's using recommended formats, neither of them worked, it wasn't able to recognize them.
The ISTA/P version was 45.1.3.0. I've attached the report. Can anyone confirm, if they had done the proper procedure listed in SIB 653005 would it say something on this report?

Read the document. The SA numbers are your options and +KMP3 was not added as you can see on the last page where it says "concluding work - not successful" and "change vehicle order - no"
It kind of looks like they didn't know what they were doing... the KGM module is showing a "problem" and it's saying that not enough voltage was applied to terminal 15. So I would assume you have a push-button and they didn't work it correctly. They could have just started the engine and programmed it with engine running. Dealers are so laughable. Were they going to charge for this? And if so how much? I hope you didn't pay for work that wasn't even done!
Sorry about a late reply but I noticed nobody else did so.....better late than never.

We have the same version of ISTA/P and it is a little tricky we are still training on it and unfortunately that means breaking things to repair them.
When I read that first post I knew what they did wrong but glad you have everything working as planned.
