How Often to do oil change?

Hey guys as the topic says, i was recently wondering at how many miles should I be doing an oil change in my car? Thanks.

For me, every year or in between... at 7K miles... Pay for one then let the maintenance plan change one...

I change every 3-5k miles - depending on how much I rev in a given period. I tend to go through more oil in the warmer months, so in the summer I try to stay closer to the 3k mark between changes.

There has been much discussion on this. I do mine every 5000 miles. I have never been comfortable with BMW's recommended intervals.

I think 3k or 5k interval is overkill. The car has 7-8.5 qts oil (big volume comaring to Japanese cars) and the oil is specifically formulated for extended drain.
I am going 10k miles or 1 year whichever comes first.

I get mine done every 5k...because I hit red line in 1st and 2nd and sometimes 3rd many times throughout the day
