Retail Value $39,165
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions.

Hope this helps you on what is the Kelly Blue book value on what they say the 2005 545i is worth in Zip code 30269.

Used car dealers quote kbb regularly. THAT should be enough to doubt the accuracy of the "retail price". Please believe me, dealers are buying '05 545i's with 30,000 miles for mid to low 20's. They'll mark it up to $35K, and tell you that it's quote-PRICED THOUSANDS BELOW KBB RETAIL VALUE"- end quote. I disagree with KBB blurb posted above:the starting point for all sales discussions is to commence with the price the car was purchased for, not some nebulous "asking price"

Absolutely agree. Used car dealerships love to pull out kbb numbers because they are always WAY too high.

Enterprisecarsales.com has a 2005 545i w 18k miles and are asking 27-28k....comes with 1 year warranty, roadside assistance, 7 day return policy ect..I bought my 2004 530 from them about 6 months ago. I wish i wouldve waited and i definetly wouldve jumped on this deal.
Nice deal - somebody already grabbed it though!

How has your experience with enterprise been? Use their warranty yet or roadside assistance?

Just to give you a range,

I just bought a 545i 2004 with pro nav, premiun package, with 80 000 kilometer ( around 40k miles i think) for 28 900$ Canadian. It's a deal, but the price was around 33k from BMW dealer with certified but no premium package. Considering the facts that I'm in canada, your price should be lower i think.

Well, the original car sold for 34k.

The car was a trade-in, bought and serviced at the same dealer. It sold within a week. The good CPO'ed cars with rare options and a classic color combo have been selling pretty quick in my area.

No worries, man. The dealer made about $8 to 9K on that deal. Some other guy/ gal overpaid...albeit for a really sweet car! Somewhere out there, someone with a 545i/550i is panicking because of the high price of petrol, and they will be willing to give up their Whip to a caring guy like you. Be patient! I waited over 6 months before I settled on my 550i6. It was painful at times, but well worth the wait.
PS: don't be afraid to look outside of your immediate locale. When I was peeping E39 M5's, I was shocked to see how many of the cats on the m5 board would drive 4 hours or so, just to test drive a particular car. There are enough people on this site that may be willing to eyeball a car that may be too far for you to get to.

Just a thought.

Happy shopping!

My Ride: 2005 Titanium Gray 545i Sport, black leather, navigation, Logic 7, and no money for mods.

I just purchased a titanium gray CPO 545i sport, nav, pdc, logic 7, with 17.5 k miles for $33.2k with a year left of warranty at dealership in Florida. Black Book at the time was $29k plus CPO would add another $2K so I think I got a really fair deal.
