Bought an 05 545i CPO Sport, CWP, 39K miles for $32 about a month ago. I think $33-34 is a fair price.

How do you track them from one place to the next? Online?
Yes, I track them online. On the MMR link on Manheim's website, you can get the date, location, and cost of a particular sales transaction. When you check out the autotrader, ebay and other websites a couple of days later, you OFTEN see that particular car pop up for sale at a ~7K (or more) markup. Some dealers list lower, some higher....
I was peeping '05' 545i 6's earlier this year, and watched with glee as the wholesale price for some cars with 30-40K dropped as low as 23K. Shoot, if you buy an 3 year extended warranty, and Manheim's guarantee, you're looking at a true bargain! High risk...but high gain!

My 545i sold for $27.5K, after undergoing CPO process, extending warranty to 100K miles etc. She had 54K miles on the clock.

You should be able to get it for less.

I know I used Edmunds price calculator and stuff when buying my new 535 to see what others in my area were paying. Dunno how accurate it was/is but it's worth a try. Dunno if you can do it for older (not 2008 or 2009) models.

Retail Value $39,165
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions.

Hope this helps you on what is the Kelly Blue book value on what they say the 2005 545i is worth in Zip code 30269.

Problem is dealers don't go by Kelly Blue Book. They go by there black book and current local auction prices. Well my understanding is the black book is basically compiled of auctions prices across the U.S.. Kelly Blue book is the main reason why people are so shocked sometimes at there low real trade in value. But from a dealer stand point why would they pay you 29K or whatever on your trade and at the auction there going to in a few days they can pick up the same car for 25K. I think its been about two years since a 545i was selling near 40K. Most now are selling in that 28K to 34K area tops.

... but I think you can get them down to at least 33k on this.

I agree. Dealerships want to move used cars especially V8s. I would offer $32-33. Be prepared to walk if you do not get the price that you want. There are lots of e60s hitting the used/CPO market now.
