Is anyone else angry that the new Lexus IS looks a lot like our E60s? From the headlights to the wheel wells to the side skirts to the tail lights to the bumper. It's a blatent rip.

I guess it goes without saying, but "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery."

Anyone else upset by this?

Its a total copy. But then, the same people (i.e., journalists) that bashed the E60 people will say its beautiful, modern, sleek, etc...

Looked at the new IS when it came out a few weeks ago. My parents have had Lexus cars for years.

My mom got in, and she is only 5' 1" tall, and she said she felt like the ceiling was caving in on her. It make her claustrophobic.

So we ordered her a 325i

That was one of the few cars it came down to. Yes, the headlights does look the same. And yes, the interior looks so much better then any of the current BMW's available. However, when it came down to it the main factor was the driving experience. Much more fun in the BMW.

Yes but, Japan made cars will always be imitating the market-hot German made cars.
I don't like it myself.

Haha yea, I have better things to be upset about.

Imitation is the best form of flattery.
