Nokia Lumia 1020 Windows Phone & My 04 545i
Ok, I have been debating for the last few weeks on getting a new smart phone. My wife and kids all have iphones and I have been using a Blackberry Torch for the last few years. I must be a rebel, I just find any reason not to get the iphone 5. I use the phone for texting/talking and pictures. The camera in the windows phone is the best out there right now. Games I don't do, Music is something I will use if it is easy to access. The larger screen is nice on the Nokia. I wanted to know some opinions from you guys. Does anyone use a Windows phone with their BMW? Does the Bluetooth work well or at all?
Can I add an AUX. port or Cable to go directly into the phone and get more use through my sound system? My car is an 04 545i with no-nav. Thanks Adam
Should I join the masses and just get the Apple?

I have a 530D from 04, I got a bluetooth module installed, and it works perfectly fine with my Nokia 925.
Also works with streaming music over bluetooth.

I have the phone about a week now. I really like it. The blue tooth is linking well with the factory non-navigation set up in my car. The phone and voice texting work well. I'm not sure how to get the streaming music? Can you give me an idea on how to get it working? Thank you. Adam

They installed an extra module and removed my CD changer, then I had bluetooth streaming. I just select the CD changer in i-drive, then it plays from my phone...

Hate to bump a old thread but Adam were you ever able to come up with a solution to your problem?? I have a 04 545i that doesnt have the multi disk changer. My BT works but like yours, doesnt stream music. What did you end up doing?
Thanks

update
I never got a bluetooth module installed. I did get a wireless "Tunlink brand" combination charger and streaming bluetooth unit. It works farly well and is uncomplicated to use. Check it out online, it may be a viable option for you. Adam
