I order this dongle but didnt see the part where you have to plug it into the 3.5 jack on the car. My 04 545 doesnt have a usb or a 3.5 jack. Are there any other options to stream music?? Or any other options to get music (other than cd and radio) out of the car??

Sorry friend... you will need to add auxiliary input into your car if it was not born with one. It is tough, an '04 car is about ten years aged. Sometimes the only option is something that you "tune into" over the radio.

Someone who has more experience with retrofitting and your year 5 series maybe able to help. Good luck.

How did you get the google maps turn by turn to go through the speakers?

I have a 2008 e61 and my phone connects to the speakers for voice, but the turn by turn on google maps does not

The person maybe in an active phone call, and hears it over the BT Handfree Profile connection.

So what are my options. I have a 06 530xi with BT but no aux hook up. I do have cd changer in the glove box. Thanks

The USB in this application is only for power... It powers the dongle. I have a friend with an Acura who has Aux no stream... And plugs the dongle into a cigarette usb charger and runs a a little extention 3,5mm cable for the audio.

Works like a charm for me.
Easy if you know how to solder a wire or two.
If you can't there are all kinds of cheap BT dongles out there that you just stick in your AUX.
