2004 TCU 84116942592 Bluetooth .??
I have been off and on trying to get my phone working in my car for the past 2 years now and read a LOT about this done my own coding etc.
Got everything working with this 84116942592 built in 2004 TCU EXCEPT for my voice not getting thru , calls are received ok but the caller unable to hear me, I can call out from car and receive calls thru steering wheel controls etc. phone book in iDrive ok as well but have been unable to get someone outside to hear me talking in the phone.
So I guess this is not possible with the pre 04-2004 built TCU'S or am I still missing something?

Hey cmyachtie,
I would love to have Bluetooth on my 2004 545i! Did you have to buy the Bluetooth module or was it just programming to get it to work?
This may be stupid question, but does you car have the built in mic installed? If so, does it need coding for power?
