My Ride: 2010 BMW 530i E61, alpine white, cream-beige interior, sports-auto-transmission and a lot more-
technically you could wrap rims too, but i don't know the durability on such a "polluted" thing like a wheel.
I think it's almost impossible to wrap a wheel like style 172, it's very very difficult to wrap around corners and curves.
Furthermore you have to wrap it in one piece in order to avoid the wrap from loosening from the rim because of water and shit..
There are other possibilities to cover a wheel in cf-style:
I know the german word for this process,maybe someone knows the english word for this:"Wassertransferdruck-Verfahren".
You take big bowl or a bath tub, fill it with water and lay a thin cf-style foil on top of the water surface.
Then you push everything you want to have covered into the water, the foil will immediately bond onto the surface of your rim or trim or something else.
Before you do this you have to treat the piece to achieve the maximum afhesive force.
