I like it... much nicer in real life than I expected.
Only the 100% front view look of the grille still looks out of proportion... may take some time to get used to it.

Notice the graphics of the online manual... identical to TIS!
I also like the way the sideview camera's are integrated, very subtle.

It'll take a while for this one to grow on me.

The front with its HUGE kidneys need some adjusting in my mind,
really do hope the F10 will not get them like that.

Otherwise I love it.

I agree ... maybe I could ask BMW to let me drive one around for a couple of years so I could decide if my next car is a 730d or a KIA

kidding

I agree that the design is not very controversial or original, like the E65 was. Probably BMW decided not to take that risk again, because it's getting harder and harder for top-segment luxury cars in todays's climate (financial & eco).

Still, I do see a couple of nice innovations, for example the camera systems that recognise living objects and speed signs.

But overall, it's more evolution than revolution and I would go for a heavily discounted full-opton E65 over a new F01 probably... if I would have been looking for a 7. For me it's not so relevant as I'll be driving my E60 for another 2.5 years. Maybe after that I'll go for a facelifted E65, who knows.
