As far as I know, you definately need the wiring kit that Fred can provide you with. Because you still have to connect the paddles to your steptronic.
Pricing at the dealer I don't know. But you could be lucky on Ebay.

The way to reset it is turn your steering all the way to the right, then all the way to the left, and center it. Then drive for a few Km and it'll be gone. When you park, for car with AS, you have to center your steering wheel.

ok guys.. I think this is a pretty cool mod but there is no DIY for the 6. I'll volunteer to tinker on my ride once again to provide a DIY to the community like I did with the iPod interface. I can get the paddle steering wheel from BMW at wholesale price. The idea is that everyone donates a little towards the DIY so I can post it. If we can't get the $ together everything will be refunded respectively. I set up a paypal account @ "paddleshiftproject@hotmail.com" for this purpose.
