Audi officially unveils the new A7 Sportback tomorrow,

As always, pics have leaked ahead of the launch. Looks are, of course, subjective but for me this is a much better design than the GT, the rear is beautifully executed whereas it's the weak link on the GT.

not bad, definitely similar lines to an MB CLS...the audi a5 sportback also looks nice IMO...

While I am no fan of tall cars, I have to agree with Steve that this is a considerably better looking deign than the GT.

I was invited to an A7 design clinic and I can say (now owning a 5-Series GT) that the 5-Series is a significantly better package.
1. Better engines with more punch, frugal and not as coarse on the motorway
2. Better electronic toys that have been thoughtfully integrated on the iDrive (and more standard kit than any other BMW)
3. Better ride than the Audi even on 20" alloys - though perhaps not as cosseting for Jag/Merc drivers.
4. The raised semi-command position gives you better visibility and internal headroom and leg-room especially for rear seat passengers.

The 5-Series GT does not have the sameness as you see across the Audi range:
It is distinctive, it stands out; the rear is NOT pretty admittedly but every other angles really has presence and in the right color, can look great.

I am glad I picked the F07. The Audi A7 (and perhaps more so the S7 will be phenomenal.
But it is more a CLS-beater that the BMW 6er Gran Coupe will have in its sights than the 5-GT in my opinion.

I'm liking this Audi as well, but I think BMW wanted to maximize the rear cargo space, thus the massive block of trunk

I drove an A7 today. This car completely blows away the GT5. I am very impressed...
