LS1-Swapped 1985 BMW 528e Home

Take the legendary E28 chassis, stuff a 340-horsepower LS1 under the bonnet, finish it off with a Tremec T-56 six-speed manual to channel the small block’s power to the rear wheels, and you have Heaven on Earth, especially when you’re eating E28 M5s for lunch. Back in ’85 the M5 was the fastest production sedan in the world, and made do with 282 horsepower routed through a five-speed manual. Later catalyzed M5s bound for North America only had 256 horsepower.

We found this Polaris Silver gem on Bring a Trailer. Yes, this car is for sale, and it can be yours for $11,000. Could this be the coolest car 11 grand could by? Unequivocally, yes.
