BMW M6 Herds Ambulance on Russian Highway

Be prepared for this to be used against BMW drivers world wide. As you can see in the video below, this M6 driver, clearly a bit peeved at the ambulance for using the incorrect lane on a Russian motorway, decides to take matters into his own hands. Yes, lane obedience is key to highway safety, but also, respect is due for emergency vehicles. In most U.S. states, it is law to move over for stopped or slowed emergency vehicles.

In the video, the two drivers exchange some words, likely colorful. Although we are not sure what was said exactly, I kept thinking the ambulance driver should perhaps clear his own path. Especially because it appears the ambulance has a thrombosis patient aboard, which is most definitely a time-related issue.

So there’s two sides to pick here: Team BMW and Team Ambulance. I know how I’ll pick. Knowing highway rules in Europe, the BMW driver has every right to visually express his displeasure at the other driver. However, stopping anyone in a highway lane is bad form, especially an ambulance. I am firmly on Team Ambulance for this one.
